Don’t know what to get your guy this year for Valentine’s day?

I know the struggle. My boyfriend seems to have everything he could want. It can be so hard to pick out a Valentine’s day gift for a guy. I have done the sentimental gifts, the pun cards, the romantic gestures, the Hand-written cards, etc. I didn’t want to just buy him something that he won’t even remember. So I started paying attention to things he was mentioning, then one day he was complaining about his beard. I love his beard, so I was in a panic when he threatened to shave it off (ahh!). So I got to thinking, what if I got him something that would help his beard troubles? This would be the best gift for him annnd for me! (win-win) So I put together a few ingredients and made him his own Beard Oil, the PERFECT gift.

What the heck is Beard Oil you ask?

Let’s all take a moment to agree that well-groomed facial hair on a man is sexy. With that being said,Β  it comes with a price. It can get scruffy, flaky and dry. Some men get ingrown hairs and it just turns out all bad (ew), resulting in them shaving off the beard(ugh).

This is why there is a thing called Beard oil. The oil helps reduce the problems of a beard, making it soft, manageable, and tamed. The beard oil makes the skin and hair soft and flake free! Another plus to using this beard oil is that it keeps your man smelling fresh and clean (like I said, win-win)

What is Beard Oil made out of?

There are different types of Beard Oils, but the beard oil I made for my man is made out of Jojoba Oil, Fractionated Coconut oil, and Essential oils.

The Jojoba oil is amazing for skin. It is pronounced “ho-ho-ba”. It is used to sooth the skin and unclogs hair follicles helping hair growth. Click here to see the type I used.

Coconut oil is also another great product for skin and hair. It helps moisturize and keep your hair and skin healthy. I used the Fractionated Coconut oil, that way it would be in liquid form.

Essential oils are one of my favorite things! I love them, they smell good, and they are good for you too! In this Beard oil, I used Cedarwood, Wild Orange, and Lemon essential oils. The Cedarwood oil helps skin look healthy and gives it a more masculine smell, while the lemon and wild orange give it the citrus scent and uplifts the mind and body. My friend Heather Leguilloux was super helpful and gave me some of her doTERRA oils to make this gift possible! 1. YES its a great Idea. Vitamin E is GREAT for the skin. I would suggest replacing the coconut oil with the Vitamin E oil.
